About Us
Throughout its history, Martin Mechanical Inc. has operated upon values of Faith, honesty, and commitment.
Where We Came From
Founded in 1930, Ernie Martin and his company provided boiler related services to homes and businesses in and around metropolitan Kansas City. Martin Mechanical was one of the few mechanical contractors in the area with qualifications as being an ASME R, PP and S & U stamp holder.
In 1990, under the new ownership of Mr. Jim Kafka, personnel with broader areas of expertise were added, allowing him to diversify the company and provide additional contracting opportunities. Martin Mechanical Inc. now has technical experts in the field of boilers, chillers, HVAC, process piping, and hydronics.
In 1994, Mr. Kafka purchased a small refrigeration contractor, venturing into another new field–Commercial and Industrial Refrigeration. Martin Mechanical Inc. provided services to many local grocery stores, along with ice cream manufacturers and refrigerated warehouses.
Where We Are Now
Today, Martin Mechanical Inc. continues its mechanical contracting history. Mr. Kafka passed the baton to three excellent former employees, with a combined experience of nearly 100 years.
Jim Rogers, Kirt Lawrence, and Chuck Paszkiewicz bring a variety of field experience, giving clients access to their expertise in marketing, service management, and project management. Their insight and experience allow Martin Mechanical to take on broad range of projects, working directly with engineers, manufacturers, and with the owner/customer.
Our history is built upon the core values of Faith, empowering others, sacrifice, honesty, and commitment. These values guide the way in our relations with associates, striving to treat others the way we would like to be treated, and doing things the right way even if it is not the easy way. Martin Mechanical Inc. will continue to live out our mission to preserve the “lifeblood” of your system for years to come.
